Trevors -- Edge 705 trouble

Good Trevors ride with Karl, Trevor, Gerald, Gary? Quickly cough the B group and left behind again... Garmin Edge 705 funky behaving  messing up ride data -- but else all was perfect, good work, some wind to share. 108km, 3h18m.

Ron's Wild Turkey Ride

Turkey day! Let's ride little bigger. Ride from home, meetup with Trevor and little early waiting for every one to show up. Fun group, Fun ride Ron! Good set of hills...

1st Cyclo Cross!!!!

Finally, 1st CX race of the season. Every thing CXisch in NY/LI/SI parks so far canceled -- thanks to Sandy. Thanks to Kyra for hooking me up and Robin for driving and sharing the ferry over to CT to the nice setting at Hop Brook Lake park.

Getting ready, warmup lap, little fun lesson watching near pro Dan just in front my him at warmup lap :-) A great course with all the CX features. Grassy start with few twisty turns, barriers, little off camber, gravel, a steep shorty on dirt single track a cool beach section at the beautiful lake, more grass/dirt, short paved strait before hitting one more easy climb with barriers on top... fly down and a few grassy zigzags to the lap finish.

Alright, lining up... start. And not even a full lap his rear tire went flat -- damn. No spare wheel or bike. DNF so far. Well great idea to sign up for the last race in the 4/5, thanks Robin for giving me the chance to eventually race, figuring to sign up -- great, thanks again got a new number for free -- big smile :-) Thanks to Paul for helping me out with a spare tube. That made my day. Just a lot of tiem in between now to take pictures.....

Then finally racing after one more warm up lap, few fun laps and coming in 15th about mid field.


Thanks to everyone making this a great day out there! And to Paul for helping me out with a tube... so I could finally complete a race later. And Robin to stay all day and even joining the last race!

Monday, last Minute put together ride -- thx to L for getting a few riders and JJ for joining as well!

One more shorts day today. Good easy base ride.

Trevors with Marco

Sunday, Trevors or Bagel ride. Guest Marco today. Meeting up with Marco at Py's house for Espesso to get started. Little last minute distraction -- soft tire better need a fix. One more, Greg joined for the ride towards Port Jeff. Then G joined the early B group and M&Py hooked up with the A group today mostly consisting of GABs -- not seen as many on a while together!! Cool, but however they went for a easy longer ride and left the "group" at Sound Ave. Well, group now got small :-( Just Trevor, Ryan, Marco and Py. But we had a good ride.

A colleague at the "Camp", a friend, great CX racer, long EECT team member & tutor in early days for Py is not any more with us.

Paul (president of EECT) organized a ride "The Steve Kane Memorial Ride" after the funeral procession which we attended previously.

To get there in these post Sandy days with a awkward feeling severe gas shortage several decided to ride to the start as well. We can do this!

Py left home by 7:10 to meet up with a few riders already at RPC to proceed to Kreb Cycle to meet more and proceed to Bay Shore. It happened on the way from Bellport out West we passed one more  obviously very famous rider resting after loosing his fight with cancer and took a moment to visit him.

Proceeding further to Bay Shore and Attending a very well done ceremony. After that a short ride around Brightwaters. Then heading East toward BNL for tracking some of Steven usual paths.

Trevors diverging into a to be names activity with the team

After reorganizing at home, cleaning up the yard of major debris blown around by Sandy and getting power back on Saturday finally getting back on two wheels on Sunday morning.
Starting out with Trevors group "the bagel ride" but later splitting off for a team only ride. Very nice day&ride.
